March 2020 Newsletter
As we emerge out of the sogginess of winter, we breathe a sigh of relief as Spring really is knocking on the door at long last!
Before Christmas we had some fabulous winter history tours with some very lovely WI groups! I gave everyone a tour of the downstairs of the house and my family history, followed by some mince pies, tea and some carols around the piano in the Hall. They were very jolly afternoons and really got everyone into the festive spirit. I’ll definitely be doing them again at the end of the year as they were great fun!
Looking ahead to the year, I’m delighted to be fully booked with weddings this year! I’m an exclusive venue as I only do ten each summer so you have to get in quick if you want to get married here!
Wedding Open Day – Bank Holiday Monday 25th May
If you know of anyone getting married next year and looking for a venue, here’s a perfect opportunity to see Midelney all set up for a wedding Have a glass of fizz and a wander around our beautiful gardens, Potting Shed and Marquee! I’ll be on hand to chat through all the couples plans and ideas as well as some fabulous local hand picked suppliers for them to meet too! Just turn up on the day!
The Pantaloons Open Air Theatre – Thursday 25th June
Woo Hoo the Pantaloons are back! This time they’ll be performing a very sensible (not) version of Sherlock Holmes! Tickets will go on sale on Eventbrite at the end of April.
I will post both on Facebook and Instagram when they are available
How can one show with just four actors possibly contain so much action and adventure? Elementary, my dear! The critically-acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company put dynamic detective duo Holmes and Watson through their paces as they tackle their most fiendish case yet in this delightfully inventive and hilarious show for all ages featuring live music, audience interaction and more mystery than you can shake a magnifying glass at.Stick that in your pipe and smoke it! “A production of ingenuity, verve and wit… hilarious! * * * * *” (Oxford Times)
Bring a picnic and something to sit on!
Hopefully see some of you soon and here’s to a fantastic 2020!
All the best
